The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), one of the world’s leading conservation organisations, is looking to hire a Communications Officer with exceptional digital and design skills for the WWF Tigers Alive Initiative (TAI). The Communications Officer will be a gifted storyteller, with outstanding copywriting skills and at producing digital content for multiple formats - from social media videos through to designing technical reports. This is a fast paced role, working within a globally dispersed team, and directly reports to the TAI Communications Director based in Hong Kong. There is a strong preference for the role to be based in Asia, in a tiger range country.

  • Liaise with WWF offices around the world, including WWF International and the Tigers Alive core team, to update the editorial calendar and suggest communications opportunities.

  • Promote WWF tiger content to offices across the network through internal communications channels, ensuring content is adding value and supporting strategic goals.

  • Keep abreast of the latest design, digital and social media trends, and ensure WWF is integrating these into our communications

Required qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in the digital, marketing, design or communications profession. A relevant degree is welcomed but not required.

  • Experience creating and publishing content, including:

  • Video editing and graphic design skills. Must be an expert using video/photo/graphic editing software (successful applicants will be required to present examples or a portfolio of work). Animation and data visualisation skills are a big plus.

  • In-depth knowledge of engaging audiences on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and other social media platforms. This must include having a good understanding of social media KPIs, and applying data and analytics tools to improve content performance (experience with Meltwater, and social media analytics tools are an advantage)

  • Experience using content management systems (CMS) for websites.

  • A flair for telling a good story - must have native-level English writing skills, and experience writing engaging copy for social media, websites, and other marketing collateral.
