Major Function
The major function of the position is to coordinate the development of multi-actor platforms for Sustainable Natural Rubber Sector in Myanmar at the national, region/state, and local levels.
Major Responsibilities
· Review and share best practices for multi-actor platforms in the agriculture sector both national and international
· At national level, work with key stakeholders to establish a SNR Committee (government, private sector, civil society organizations, and representative of producers
· Participate in other national platforms on agriculture to promote zero deforestation and sustainable agriculture
· At the Region and State Level, work with key stakeholders to establish inclusive region/state platforms for SNR
· In Tanintharyi Region and Kayin State, facilitate the development of training modules for the establishment of cluster level producers associations/cooperatives, tapper/labour associations, village level farmers groups, and women agroecology groups with Village Savings and Loan Associations
· Coordinator monitoring, evaluation and reporting of Myanmar Project activities working in cooperation with Project M&E Team
Requirements
· Bachelor and/or Master Degree in relevant area of study
· 3 years of experience coordinating/managing complex programmes or projects involving public-private partnerships, including experience working with Ministries and Government Agencies and private sector
· Experience with the development of producer associations/cooperatives, farmers’ groups, and/or women’s groups.
· Knowledge and experience working in natural rubber sector an advantage
· Good computer skills including Microsoft Office
· Fluency in Myanmar language and good written and spoken English language skills
