Senior Public Sector Fundraiser

WWF-UK has a strong track record of securing funding from government and statutory sources, especially the European Union and DFID, to support WWF’s excellent policy and programme work for people and nature worldwide. This role needs to build up a funding pipeline from government and statutory sources, and continue WWF-UK’s reputation for developing top class funding proposals. Furthermore, we need to look to broadening our income sources.
The post-holder will be responsible for the development and writing of funding bids to support delivery of WWF-UK’s 2013-2018 strategy objectives. Working closely with WWF colleagues in Global Programmes, Operations and other offices in the WWF Network, you will identify suitable funding sources and drive a programme which involves developing concepts, budgets, and proposals to high standards of both WWF and donors. This will allow WWF-UK to achieve income targets, and will also require engagement with funding bodies and institutions.
Significant experience of managing large scale and complex applications to government and statutory bodies is essential, as well as extensive bid experience within a complex environment.
Candidates need to enjoy working in a team, collaborating with others and demonstrate a track record of successful fundraising. Further,candidates will have an opportunity to work in the Living Planet Centre, which has won numerous awards for its its sustainbility and architecture.
